About the picture above: the family in the picture is the family of Mr. Arie Seton. Left to Arie is Eva & Ivy Cooper, next to her is Mrs. Nel Seton-Verstegen (with the purse).

Our local historian is not 100% sure, but he thinks the Seton family has adopted the grave of sgt. Cooper. That is still done: you adopt a Commonwealth Grave here in town, and it gets maintained, With the small commemoration on the morning of May 4th, you place flowers.

Both Arie and Nel were in the Dutch resistance and wore the Verzetsherdenkingskruis (Resistance Memorial Cross).

Extra from Corine:

About the picture below: the family in the picture is the family of Mr. Arie Seton. Left to Arie is unknown (she could be English), next to her is Mrs. Nel Seton-Verstegen (with the purse). On his other side the three children Robert, Yvonne and Wim. Highly likely family of sgt. Cooper visited Werkendam and then visited the Seton family.
