Whittington Bks.,

Sat morn. 5 mins 6.

My Darling,

just a few lines to let you know I am still very much alive and kicking. As last night was Berts' last night here we went out and had a drink together, didn't get silly drunk you know just merry.

Well sweetheart, the postman let me down again yesterday, I hope he comes today, as you will see by this letter I did not write to you last night, but your name was mentioned more than once, it's great to have a pal who you can confide with.

Well my dear heart, this is a short and sweet; but sincere, it does not need a book to tell you X

how much I love you, three words will convey all, “I love You”. X

Till tonight darling, keep smiling, you're ever in my thoughts. X

Lots of Love, Henry X
