October 15. 1944 Dear May, I think it is your turn for the letter card this week so here we are. I hope you are happy and enjoying good health, I am very well, but very lonely. I had a letter from Eva last week dated July 2, she said all at home were very well, May had been home and was O.K. although she had plenty of work to do. Mother tells me now that Eva has left Lee's and gone down to the Honies. Well my dear, I don't look like being home for Christmas do I, anyhow I stand a good chance for next year, we might even manage next Easter with good luck. I'm looking forward to that day we set foot on dear old English soil with all my heart. I'm still looking for the photo you said you would send. To see you on a picture will be a great pleasure to me. Give my best wishes to your mother & all at home, keep smiling my dear, all my love, Henry.
