Kriegsgefangenenpost 19430711

Kriegsgefangenenlager                                                                                     Datum: July 11. 1943.

Dear May, I hope you are as well as this leaves me, I wrote your mother last week, a line from me will probably cheer her up a bit. How's things in hospital. Sorry to hear about you crossing the freery * I'll be meeting you coming home one of these days, till then, all my love, Henry.

Notes:

Cannot read this word very well. Could be a mispelt 'ferry' referring to Fiskerton Ferry, which crosses the Trent river.

'.....cheer her up a bit'  Sergeant Eric Cooper, R.A.F.,the elder brother had just been reported  'Missing in Action'  over Holland.
